Heritage Resources

Through its sister company, FMA Heritage Resources Consultants Inc., AXYS provides a wide range of services related to the identification, investigation, preservation and interpretation of historical/heritage resources including pre-contact and historic archaeological sites, and palaeontological sites.

Specializing in the western and northern regions of North America, FMA also provides direction and archival services relevant to aboriginal traditional territories and activities as well as traditional land use.

FMA is committed to the preservation and management of cultural properties in consultation with First Nation peoples and has focused on potential impact to cultural properties and land use by proposed development projects. FMA has prepared both position papers and impact reports related to proposed developments for consideration by review boards without compromising aboriginal confidentiality or reverence.Back to top
