Public Consultation

Public consultation is part of every oil sands development. AXYS is experienced in:

• early public notification (i.e., for the National Energy Board)
• open houses
• public presentations
• media announcements
• coordinating stakeholder advisory committees
• conflict resolution

Aboriginal Consultation

AXYS is skilled in effective consultation with First Nations and has consulted on technical matters for both oil sands proponents and individual bands.

Traditional Land Use and Ecological Knowledge Studies

Traditional land use and ecological knowledge are a specialty area for AXYS. We have led studies for many oil sands projects and have used this information, along with Western science, in impact assessments.
